The Manifezt Foundation directly influences and empowers communities to leverage learned STEM skills to gain workforce opportunities. We offer several positions within our organization that can harnesses the knowledge of college students, professionals, and independent instructors capable of instructing private and group courses in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs.

As a community development organization, Manifezt Foundation relies heavily on the continue support from local volunteer willing to take the time to education and empower local communities through our programs. Volunteer: Youth Stem Program

Are you passionate about directly impacting the lives of future innovators seeking career paths in Coding, Robotics, or Life Sciences. Manifezt Foundation along with our community partners have areas where you can dedicate a few hours a month to impact the lives of local neighborhoods. Regardless of your personal career ambitions, we believe your life experiences should be shared through effective communication channels where our youth stem program participants will gain the opportunity to learn from you.

Volunteer: Community Outreach Associate

The Community Outreach Associate will work to inform, mobilize, and maintain a network of local, state, and federal constituents that support our community development initiatives. In collaboration with the Director of Nonprofit Development (DND), Director of Communications & Public Relations (DCPR), and senior leadership; you will implement strategies that impact under-served communities. The Community Outreach Associate will work with other organization staff in the on-going planning and execution of policy and outreach strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

To partner with local school districts, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community agencies to ensure maximum reach of target populations:

  • Maintain regular communication with community partners via face-to-face meetings, email, and telephone call.
  • Work with leadership to create online content
  • Work with leadership to syndicate content
  • Assist in implementation of workshops and training’s for community partners.

To provide ongoing community outreach, education, and training of key community groups and school leaders as well as individuals who have close contact with families of uninsured children. The Community Outreach Associate will:

  • Determine appropriate locations for maximum reach of target population.
  • Schedule, promote, and conduct public outreach events to raise awareness of initiatives and attend regularly scheduled events on behalf of Manifezt Foundation.
  • Assist with enrollment of program participants.
  • Recruit, train, and manage community volunteers and student interns under guidance of individual Program Directors.
  • Collect data and generate reports on specific outreach activities.
  • Assist with the development of promotional and educational material.
  • Collaborate with staff on public messaging and dissemination of information.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong public speaking and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in implementing project goals.
  • Computer Skills a must: Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Comfort with social media and other web-based programs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or life work experience equivalent) and at least three years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Miami-Dade, Broward, & Palm Beach communities.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly desired.
  • Flexible hours: Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Volunteer: Research Associate

Manifezt Foundation seeks an exceptional candidate to join their organization as a Research Associate. The RA will work closely with the Program Director to identify, research, develop latest technological advances in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
The Research Associate (RA) position reports directly to organizational leadership. The Ideal RA candidates will be comfortable in an environment that requires a high level of independence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to use discretionary judgment.  Under the general direction of faculty member(s), RAs will develop, design and conduct research projects; synthesize, analyze, and produce statistical models; contribute to scholarly research products including but not limited to journal articles, working papers, workshops, and presentations.

Primary duties

Engage in and take on significant desk and field research assignments, requiring them to be comfortable interacting with a wide range of senior leaders and forward-thinkers. Research efforts will likely include conference or workshop planning for individual programs as well as some limited travel to workshop locations.

Exercise independent decision making with regard to progression of research project and methodologies.  When confronted with research data, be able to make deductions, add insight and draw conclusions to share with staff. Collaborate in development and implementation of workshop educational curriculum.  Use knowledge of quantitative methods to analyze and interpret results.  Work independently with research methodologies to identify gaps in research data and methods.  Produce innovative academic materials to supplement organizational research and teaching practices.  Make recommendations to various teams based on statistical interpretation and independent research.  Analyze, interpret, and evaluate the quality of results.

Ensure compliance with department, organization, and federal regulations.  Complete work with only general direction.

Under general direction of faculty member, must be able to take complex research ideas, concepts, and methodologies and development them into new projects and situations.  Must be able to structure assignments and keep team members informed as necessary, using own judgment.

Competitive candidates will have distinguished themselves in undergraduate study, will have some interest or depth of knowledge in related fields, and will have demonstrated strong initiative and leadership skills in prior assignments. Strong interviewing and analytic skills will be required to gather background information from study participants, and strong writing and blogging skills will allow the RA to contribute significantly to interim and final products. Candidates should also exhibit an interest in helping to change the world through the practice and teaching of theory to managers and leaders in the business, nonprofit and government sectors.
